Pool A: Denmark vs. Czech Republic (34:0)

Team Denmark is the first finalist of the B-group European Championship, as it overcomes a 15-point-deficit against the Czech Republic and advances to the Gold medal game on Saturday.

After losing the first game to the Czechs on Tuesday (15:30) the “Danish dynamite” exploded on Thursday, controlling the game against the very physical Czechs from the very first minute. Head Coach Lars Carlsen’s improved gameplan brought success, as the Danes outcoached an exhausted looking Czech national team and won 34:0.

Lars Carlsen, Head Coach Team Denmark: „This is what we hoped for. This is what we are good at. We studied the game film of the first game against the Czechs and tried to minimize our mistakes. Thanks to the players everything worked out almost perfectly. Now we look forward to a though final on Saturday.”
