Finland won the seventh place game 19-0 after a scoreless first half. The game was dominated with turnovers but after half time Finland took charge and could take a comfortable win.

Finland have had problems with turnovers through out the championship but today both teams struggled with four each. But Czech could not stand up to Finland and second half Finland won the game when MVP Sebastian Lindell made two touchdowns.

But the Czech defens played very well initially and the Czech MVP Jan Simanek together with Tomas Kuparowitz kept Finlands offens to few yards. Offensivly RB Jaroslav Zeman had a tough day and did not have many yds.

But in second half Lindell and all purpose WR/DB/KR/PR Pekka Rantala started to move the ball and they stod for the finnish scoring. Finlands HC Harri MalkamÀki said after the game that in second half they went back to the game plan they had in the first game against France and their offens started to produce yards. Defens played solid and had no problems with the Czech offens and kept them to 100 yds for the day. MVP Lindell gave a lot of credit to the offensive line that made it easy for him to gain yards.

Czech Republic stand in HC David Ospaly was quite happy after the game anyway and pointed out that they do have a young and inexperienced team and that they are here to learn. 12 of their players that are 17 years or younger that can play in the next European Junior Championship in two years.
