Information sheet for Teams.

Arrival
We expect Teams to arrive on Friday. (see schedule below)
If you are flying into Newcastle Airport we need to know your flight number and arrival time so that we can arrange for you to be met and taken to your accommodation.
If you are arriving by Ferry and require picking up we need to know time of arrival to be able to arrange this.
If you are arriving by Ferry and have your own transport let us know and we will send a map giving directions to your accommodation.

Accommodation
Teams will be staying in 3 star Hotels in two locations in and around Newcastle/Gateshead.
Both are within easy reach of the Stadium and Newcastle town centre.
Accommodation is on a bed & Breakfast basis.
Lunch will be taken at the Stadium both days.
Evening meal on the Friday (see schedule below)
Evening meal on Saturday night is at the discretion of the teams.
Extra nights accommodation & breakfast will be at a cost of 120 Euros per room (two people sharing).
Costs for parents wanting to stay in the same hotel as the Teams (where possible) will be at a slightly higher rate but still at a discount on normal hotel rates – 140 Euros per room (two people sharing). Anyone wishing to take up this offer needs to contact the LOC as soon as possible.
Single rooms are at a premium and may be difficult to find.


Stadium
The competition is being hosted by Gateshead International Stadium, a world class athletics venue.
The first round games will be played on new 3rd generation rubber crumb astro-turf (as used by some NFL teams).
The finals will be played in the main Stadium on natural grass.

Schedule (TBC)
Friday 15th Sept.
Arrival of Teams
Met at airport/ferry terminal by BAFA representatives, taken to accommodation.
Evening function for Players including meal and entertainment
Meeting for Coaches and Officials, including meal etc
Saturday 16th
Opening ceremony
1st round games (am & pm)
Lunch at Stadium
Saturday Evening events at discretion of teams
Sunday 17th
3rd & 4th place playoffs etc
Semi finals & Finals; morning and early afternoon.
Lunch at Stadium
Afternoon/Early evening, Teams depart.
Transported to Airport and/or Ferry terminal
