Decision in Nice

In the EFL, a final participant will be definitely already fixed after the weekend. As only two teams are competing for a place in the EFL Bowl in group A, the Nice Dauphins and the Milano Rhinos play a decisive game in Nice.

It promises to be exciting - the Italians won the first competition in Milan only with one touchdown difference. The South Francs impressed with a great come back, which was rewarded with 14 points, and gave Nice the opportunity to make everything clear on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Stade de Rugby des Arboras.

On the other hand, the Rhinos certainly want to show the performance of the first half from the first game and have learn their lessons from the final phase of the home game.

The Thonon Black Panthers could also qualify for the finals with a victory at the Berlin Adler on Saturday (4 p.m., Poststadion).

The birds of prey from the German capital are entering the EFL for the first time this season. After three years in the BIG6, the Eurobowl winner of 2010 and 2014 wants to celebrate international success again.

The start into the GFL season has been mixed so far. A clear victory at the Hamburg Huskies was followed by an equally clear defeat against the city rivals, Berlin Rebels. After just two games, a position-fixing is not easy, the game practice is clearly an advantage of the French. Berlin headcoach Eric Schramm knows this.

"We are expecting a hard work. Thonon is already well-established and is not without reason league leader in France with seven consecutive victories. We are a very young team and have yet to find each other. We have analyzed our mistakes from the defeat against the Berlin Rebels and will be in full strength against Thonon."

For the hosts, it will be important to stop the run which dominates the French attack.

The offense of the Adler with quarterback Paul Zimmermann seems to be more variable. With a victory against Thonon, Berlin will have the chance to reach the EFL Bowl with another success at the Prague Black Panthers.
