The European Federation of American Football (EFAF) is still organizing the European Football League, EFAF Cup and EFAF Atlantic Cup under its umbrella.

After the EFAF Extraordinary General Assembly held at Zurich on November 4, 2012 rejected the dissolution of EFAF the EFAF Court of Arbitration nullified the votes on an updated budget 2012 and 2013 and an updated plan of action 2012 and 2013.

A part of that proposal which is now nullified was to cancel all EFAF Club Team Competitions in 2013 and transfer them to the International Federation of American Football (IFAF).

The EFAF Court of Arbitration stated in his decision that the transfer of the EFAF competitions to a third party would be a change in the purpose of EFAF which requires according ยง33 BGB (German Civil Code) the consent and approval of all members of EFAF.

Other grounds such as procedural faults by submitting those proposals as hand out during the meeting are mentioned.

Now that the legal bodies have clarified that EFAF still exists then EFAF has not only the right but also the duty to organize the competitions as laid down in Art. 13 of the EFAF statutes.

The EFAF Board of Directors invites all relevant stakeholders of the European American Football family to a round table to discuss on the future of American Football in Europe.

In the meantime the plans and scheduling of the 2013 club competitions will continue as planned under EFAF.
