EJC2011: Preview Gameday 3

Category: European Championship - published 2011-08-31 by EFAF

GERMANY (0-1) - DENMARK (0-1)

Germany and Denmark will fight for a spot in the bronze medal game. None of both teams has the opportunity to reach the Final after two teams lose against Austria (2-0), which already qualified to Final. It is supposed to be a very even game since both teams lost for a less than 8 points margin versus Austria and were close in the board till the very last moment. Current EU champion, coached by Peter Springwald, may not concede another loss although they face Denmark, that showed great potential against Austria yesterday and should complicate the Germans a lot.

SWEDEN (1-0) - FRANCE (1-0)

Sweden and France will play for a spot in Saturday’s Final game in la Cartuja, where Austria already waits. The Swedish, who won the inaugural day against Spain with more difficulties than we could think of at the beginning of the tournament, will have on Carl Nielsen their best weapon. On the other hand, France already demonstrated yesterday against Spain that they have very powerful runners on Karl Diboule, Jason Aguemon, Remi Bertellin and Armel Ahidaza, who combined for more than 270 yds. It seems we have a running game ahead, where offensive lines will be determinant. Winner will play the Final against Austria next Saturday, 3rd Sept.
