EJC 2011: Serbia wins first game

Serbian junior team in the American League beat the UK national team with score 13:12 for the final game of the qualifying tournament for the European Championships, held in Kragujevac. In a very uncertain game, Serbian young eagles were able to place in the tournament final. Excellent defense of Serian team managed to stop the British fierce attack.

Young eagles took the lead by touchdown scored by Stanka Kasalovic. The British managd to score in the second half with running for about 3 yards and the result was 6-6. However, in the very finish of the match, Serbian team managed to score again. Mark Bakovic made touchdown with running for about 25 yards. Extra points by Topalovic George was successful and the result was 13: 6

The British were able to score again by outstanding capturing from 25 yards. After that British Lions tried a two-point conversion but John Radojičić intercepted the ball and thereby put an end to this match. Scoreboard at the end was 13:12 in favor of Serbian national team.

Serbian team will play the final game on Sunday 22nd against the Netherlands national team, which beat the Czech Republic score 14:7.
