Saturday evening the Thonon les Bains Black Panthers defeated the Copenhagen
Towers in an EFAF Cup semi final contest by the score of 19 to 7.
The game's first half was dominated by the defensive units as the squads entered
the half-time break locked in a scoreless tie.
The second half would quickly take on a different look as the Black Panthers
scored on just their second offensive play of the half with runningback Alex
Thomas providing the touchdown on a long run; the extra point was blocked. The
Towers took no time to reply, driving over 90 yards just a few minutes later to
take a 7 to 6 lead at the midway point of the third quarter. Early in the
fourth quarter, facing a fourth and long deep in the Towers' end of the field,
the Black Panthers scored on a throwback play to take a lead that they would not
relenquish the rest of the way.

Import running back Alex Thomas was voted game MVP, having scored all three
Thonon touchdowns. The game was a sparkling example of hard physical play and
sportsmanship on the part of both teams.
